Media outlets in BiH had the largest media coverage in the Western Balkans for the elections in Turkey

For this analysis, Pikasa has analyzed over 1.500 digital media in Western Balkans region, including portals, televisions, radio and digital media outlets through its real-time analytics software platform Analytics.live

The monitored period is from May 13 to May 15, 2023, respectively the day before, during and after the elections in Turkey,

The highest percentage for the elections in Turkey from the total number of news was present in Bosnia & Herzegovina with 6.7% media coverage, followed by North Macedonia with 6.6% and Kosovo with 4.2%.

The percentage of the audience reactions are parallel with the number of news.

One of the reasons for the low volume of news about the "Elections in Turkey" in Serbia, Albania and Montenegro are the murders, the fiery political scene and protests in Serbia, followed by local elections in Albania and Parliamentary election campaign in Montenegro.

The greater number of news in Bosnia, North Macedonia and Kosovo is also a result of the higher Turkish population in these areas, including the presence of the Turkish parties and the coalition with the larger parties in the country,
