From data to dialogue: Contributing to the global conversation on information integrity.
On October 7–8, 2026, Vilnius, Lithuania, welcomed experts, researchers, policymakers, and technology innovators for the EU DisinfoLab Annual Conference (#Disinfo2026), one of the key international gatherings dedicated to tackling disinformation and strengthening information integrity.
Pikasa Analytics was proud to be part of this year's conference, bringing our expertise in media intelligence, digital monitoring, and data-driven research to an international audience.
Representing Pikasa on stage was our Founder & CEO, Norik Selimi, who joined the discussions on how technology and innovative analytical approaches can help us better understand today's increasingly complex information environments.
Bringing Data and Innovation to the Conversation
As disinformation continues to evolve, the need for reliable data, advanced monitoring technologies, and cross-border cooperation has never been more important.
At #Disinfo2026, Pikasa Analytics contributed to this conversation by sharing our experience in transforming large volumes of media and social data into meaningful insights.
Our participation was also an opportunity to connect with the international community working on information integrity, exchange perspectives, and demonstrate the value of data-driven research in understanding how narratives emerge and spread across different information ecosystems.
An Exclusive Research Presentation by Norik Selimi
A highlight of our participation was the presentation delivered by Norik Selimi, an entrepreneur and innovator with more than a decade of experience in data science, analytics, and technology-driven solutions.
As the Founder & CEO of Pikasa Analytics, Norik has played a central role in shaping the company's vision and developing innovative tools that turn complex information into actionable intelligence.
On October 7, he presented "Information Ecosystems Under Pressure: The Terrain FIMI Exploits in Eurasian Media," an original research presentation developed exclusively for #Disinfo2026 and introduced to an audience for the very first time in Vilnius.
Drawing on an analysis of nearly 15 million digital news articles across 20 countries, the presentation explored the broader information landscape and the conditions that shape how narratives circulate across borders.
The research reflected Pikasa's ongoing commitment to combining advanced technology with meaningful analysis, bringing new perspectives to the challenges facing today's media environments.
A Word from Our Founder & CEO
Norik Selimi, Founder & CEO, Pikasa Analytics
Presenting in Vilnius was a privilege. #Disinfo2026 brought together people from across the world who share one goal: a more transparent and resilient information space. Our research matters because it shows the terrain that foreign information manipulation exploits. In many of the regions, platforms such as Telegram and Facebook rank alongside, and in several countries above, international wire services. Three in ten stories have no source at all. Articles carrying anti-Western narratives drew markedly more engagement, and the more narrative layers an article combined, the more engagement it earned.
They are patterns, and they only become visible when you measure across borders and languages. That is Pikasa's contribution to the international discussion: evidence from the Western Balkans, the Black Sea and Eurasia, regions that are too often described but rarely measured, built by analysts who know the languages and contexts they study.
The conversations in Vilnius, on measurement, on pressure on our field, and on what AI changes, confirmed that the field needs shared, transparent evidence. We intend to keep contributing it.
From Vilnius to What's Next
For Pikasa Analytics, #Disinfo2026 was more than an opportunity to present our work. It was a chance to exchange knowledge, build valuable connections, and engage with a community that shares our commitment to more transparent and resilient information ecosystems.
With over 15 years of experience and operations spanning more than 30 countries, we continue to expand the possibilities of media intelligence through our Analytics.Live platform, supporting organizations in navigating an increasingly dynamic digital landscape.
Our presence in Vilnius marks another important step in that journey, reinforcing our commitment to research, innovation, and international collaboration.
We are proud to have been part of #Disinfo2026 and look forward to continuing the conversations, partnerships, and ideas that began in Vilnius.
