Today, media and social media play a major role in shaping public opinion. People follow TV shows not just on television and news websites, but also on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Monitoring these channels helps brands, organizations, and media understand what people are talking about, how they react, and which topics attract the most attention.

Using its real-time media intelligence platform, Analytics.Live, Pikasa analyzed the online presence and media impact of Big Brother VIP Albania and Big Brother VIP Kosovo across official social media accounts and media outlets in both countries.

The monitoring period for this analysis was January 5 to January 11. During this time, Big Brother VIP in both countries completely dominated all social media platforms, outperforming any media outlet, influencer, or political leader in terms of visibility and engagement.

What Was Monitored

The analysis focused on:

  • Official social media accounts of Big Brother VIP Albania and Kosovo
  • Media outlets in both countries, including online news portals, TV websites, and other digital media
  • Mentions, posts, comments, likes, shares, and overall engagement
  • Real-time data, continuously updated

Social Media Performance Statistics

Nearly 900,000 Facebook engagements across Albania and Kosovo in one week
During the monitored week, Big Brother VIP Albania generated 481K engagements, three times higher than top influencers and political leaders in the country. The page published 2,015 posts, exceeding the volume of the top 10 Facebook pages with the highest engagement.

Big Brother VIP Kosovo recorded 405K engagements, four times higher than the combined performance of top influencers, media outlets, and political leaders. The page has published 982 posts, more than the top 20 other Facebook pages in Kosovo.

With 4.7M engagements, Instagram was the central interaction hub

The same trend is visible on Instagram, where the leading pages have at least 2.5 times more engagement than other top pages, showing absolute dominance. In Albania, Big Brother VIP generated 2.8 million engagements and published 1,999 posts and reels, while in Kosovo the show reached 1.9 million engagements with 929 posts and reels. These numbers confirm the strong leadership of Big Brother VIP on Instagram in both engagement and posting activity.

Millions of views were recorded despite temporary TikTok access limitations
On TikTok, the Kosovo audience dominates with twice as many views and engagements compared to Albania. Big Brother VIP Kosovo reached 5.6 million views and 116K engagements, while Big Brother VIP Albania recorded 2.8 million views and 59K engagements. This difference is mainly due to temporary TikTok restrictions in Albania, which limited content reach and audience activity.

Big Brother VIP content reached almost 40 million views on YouTube in Albania and Kosovo
Big Brother VIP continues to dominate YouTube in both countries. Big Brother VIP Kosovo recorded 27.6 million views and 160.7K engagements, while Big Brother VIP Albania reached 11.4 million views and 48.3K engagements. Even on video platforms, the official channels outperform all other digital media, capturing the majority of audience attention. This highlights the show’s popularity and the strong engagement of its viewers.

When media follows attention, not the other way around

The large social media audience also benefits media outlets, which often use video clips from the show to attract views and clicks. In Albania, Big Brother VIP content made up 2.66% of all media content, while in Kosovo it accounted for 2.77%.

In terms of overall numbers, news about Big Brother VIP clearly dominates over many other news categories, confirming the show’s power and dominance across digital media in both countries.

Influence is measurable - if you know how to read it

Big Brother VIP’s digital performance highlights the growing importance of social media and online platforms in shaping audience behavior, media trends, and public discussions in today’s digital world. The findings also point to two distinct digital ecosystems: Albania is driven by engagement-heavy social interaction reinforced by strong media amplification, while Kosovo is characterized by high-volume video consumption and scalable reach on video platforms. This contrast demonstrates how Pikasa Analytics through analytics.live transforms fragmented digital activity into clear, strategic intelligence. Through real-time, multi-platform monitoring, deep market-level localization, and comparable cross-country analysis, Pikasa delivers actionable insights built for decision-makers, not just dashboards.
