In August, Pikasa conducted a comprehensive analysis to determine the best times to post on Facebook and the peak hours of audience engagement across various countries. This analysis focused on when users are most active in posting and when their audience interacts the most within a 24-hour period, providing valuable insights into aligning content activity with audience engagement.

We examined Facebook posting and engagement patterns in the Balkans, Baltic countries, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. Our findings reveal that most posts occur between 9 AM and 5 PM—mirroring traditional working hours. However, audience engagement significantly peaks during non-working hours, especially after 5 PM.

Actionable insights for maximizing your Facebook performance

To optimize the performance of your social media channel on Facebook, it is essential to adapt your posting strategy based on these findings:

Schedule Posts for Maximum Impact: While content creation may happen during working hours, it is more effective to schedule posts for release in the late afternoon or early evening when engagement peaks. This ensures that your content reaches audiences when they are most active and likely to interact.

Use Insights for Continuous Improvement: Regularly review Facebook analytics to identify specific engagement times for your audience. Adjust your posting schedule accordingly to maintain relevance and increase interaction rates.

Engage with Followers During Peak Times: Increase responsiveness to comments, messages, and interactions during high-engagement periods (after 5 PM). This proactive engagement strategy will further drive visibility and audience loyalty.

For this analysis, Pikasa utilized its real-time platform, analytics.live, to monitor the activity timeframe of Facebook pages across the countries we monitor. In addition to Facebook, Pikasa also tracks performance on other social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Telegram, LinkedIn, VKontakte, and Odnoklassniki.
